Software for Mercury II™ 6000, 5000 and 4000 Series Encoders

SmartPrecision™ II Software is included with every Mercury II 5000 Alignment Tool and every Mercury II 4000 series encoder. It is built into the Alignment Tool (MII5000) / SmartPrecision Electronics Module (MII4000) and is accessed using the Ethernet connector. Use the Ethernet cable to connect the alignment tool / encoder directly to your computer or to your network for access using a remote computer. See the Mercury II Installation Manual for detailed instructions.

To run the SmartPrecision II Software, first find the Mercury II alignment tool / encoder on your network using one of the search programs below. The "find" program will then let you open the SmartPrecision II Software in a browser window.

Windows XP or Vista
Right click here then select “Save Target As…” to save the "FindMII.exe" search program to your computer. You can then run it from your computer. Alternatively, you can left click the link and select “Run” to run the program directly from this web site. The latest version of FindMII.exe is 1.2.2.2.

All Other Operating Systems
Right click here then select “Save Target As…” for the FindMII.jar JAVA search program (do not left click and select “Open”). You'll need to rename the file "FindMII.jar", then click Save. You must rename the file because your browser may try to save it as a .ZIP or an HTML file. The latest version of FindMII.jar is 3.1.

If you can’t run FindMII.jar after downloading it to your system, you might need to install the free Java software runtime program available at www.java.com. (Java is a stand alone application, not to be confused with JavaScript, which is a website programming language used by web browsers.)
