MicroE Colorado is our technology center for the development of ultra precision positioning systems used in the manufacture of hard drives. Our customers represent the majority of hard drive OEMs around the world.

Innovation is ongoing at MicroE, and Diskcon 2002 saw the introduction of a new generation of media writers. The new MP-7000 met with excitement and enthusiasm from OEM design and manufacturing engineers. Capable of writing track densities at greater than 250,000 tpi, the MP-7000 also writes the servotracks on up to 15 disks simultaneously. This enables manufacturers to meet the next generation hard drive performance requirements while also driving down the cost of manufacturing significantly.
