MicroE Systems announces Mercury SmartPrecision programmable
encoders for optimal motion system flexibility. Mercury programmable
encoders enable fine-tuning of the motion loop by allowing resolution
settings in integer steps from x4 to x4096. Maximum
linear resolution is 5 nanometers; maximum rotary resolution is 67.1 million
counts/rev. Output is A-quad-B and high-speed serial word.
Other features include
programmable alarms, output bandwidth, alarm threshold, and diagnostics.
Select models operate at up to 5 nanometer resolution with speeds up to
7.2m/s. All models have sensors measuring just 8.4mm tall and work in
both linear and rotary applications.
